Although the shadows are nice it's that you isolated the flower against colors the are in harmony. That makes (in my opinion) the photo.

The subject should stand out and still the background from the sense of colors have to remain harmonious.

If only the lower leaf was seen in full, it really would have added. But as it is a standout shot!
